"So, there aren't many good roads in Oklahoma are there?"
Brad moves up to a Benelli at age 6.

That's Rex with his first bike, a Speedway Super Spyder
That simple question, posed innocently enough by a fellow rider from Illinois, sparked the effort now called Two Wheel Oklahoma. It became a mission to document the scenic highways in and around our state, and what better way, than to do it on motorcycle.
The destinations might be a historic site, a winery, a town in itself or just a scenic stretch of highway. It could be a weekly bike night or a greasy spoon. It might be a curve where the sunsets live. And the best way to get there may not be the shortest.
We hope you'll come ride along.
The Idea
This project is the brainchild of Brad Mathison and Rex Brown, long-time motorcyclists from Tulsa, Oklahoma. The pair created the web site Places 2 Ride in 1998. Originally the site also highlighted interesting places to ride dirt bikes in Oklahoma. Over time all 50 states were included and today hundreds of motorcyclists visit Places2ride.com every day to locate interesting places to ride on dirt and pavement..
Eventually, the idea of adding short video segments came along. Pretty soon those short segments evolved into short documentaries of scenic highways, motorcycle rallies, bike reviews and interviews with interesting people met along the way. With the help of Retro Spec Films, what began as a simple video project has become the weekly, half-hour television program called Two Wheel Oklahoma.
The Show
Beginning in October 2009 the first episodes were aired on KMYT-TV in Tulsa. The response was incredibly positive and eventually four shows were produced. Viewers enjoyed the unusual destinations we visited and our casual approach punctuated with offbeat commentary.
Later that year the Oklahoma Educational Television Authority was approached about adding the show to their lineup. They agreed to pick up the show for their Spring 2010 season. Beginning April 4, 2010 viewers across all of Oklahoma, and parts of Kansas, Texas, Arkansas and Missouri, could enjoy Two Wheel Oklahoma on OETA every Sunday at 8:30 a.m.
Today Oklahoma. Tomorrow the World.
We think the concept of Two Wheel Oklahoma could easily be applied to other states- or the nation. The way we present touring America "off the beaten path" is something people enjoy. Even if they have never been on a motorcycle!

Great show guys! Best of luck.
There's nothing on the site (that I can find) about the bikes that you ride. I figured out that the yellow bike is a BMW boxer, but what is the other one?
Although we do ride different bikes in different episodes from our sponsors, the Yellow BMW that I normally ride, is an R1200S, with Rex riding a BMW R1200GS (in a similar color).
Hey guys... just wanted say that the show is great and i cant wait to see more!
Wonderful show idea - I can't wait to watch tomorrow morning! I'm a lifelong Oklahoma motorcyclist - congratulations on your success!
Great Show! Nice to see someone find the great roads here in Oklahoma! There are some great places to ride here, you just got to look for them! You all make this a little easier, and you look like you're having fun doing it!!!!
Love the show, congrats! Would be great if you could include on the site GPS routes for your trips.
Paul
Thanks Paul.
We don't have any GPS routes available, but we have made maps available for each episode using Google Maps. Check the link in the menu up top on the right-hand side of the page.
What a great show. Keep up the good work guys. I can't wait to see more.
